2006 Alumni Hall of Fame

Each year Troy Christian Schools recognize former students and graduates of outstanding achievements. We look for those that have followed the call God has placed upon their lives; those that seek higher knowledge in their specific field of study; and those that strive for excellence in all that they do.

The Quest for Calling award is presented to Ryan Douglas, who attended Troy Christian Schools through 8th grade, graduating in 1993. Ryan currently lives in Ocala, Florida with his wife, Natalie, and is an Art Director for a large land development company. Ryan has lived out his calling by being involved in planting two churches. The first church plant was a Vineyard Church in Athens, Ohio while he attended Ohio University. That church continues to grow today. The second church is near Ocala and utilizes a unique approach of using barbecue competitions to reach out to their co-workers, neighbors and the community to feed the hungry. Their belief is that as they host in the local parks and in their homes, the event and free food will be a catalyst to growing relationships between believers and non-believers, and as a result people will come to know Jesus. Ryan is the son of Mark and Sherry Douglas of Troy.

The Quest for Knowledge award is presented to Justin Bunn. Justin attended Troy Christian Schools and graduated from Miami University in 2004 with a degree in Psychology. He is pursuing a Doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology at the University of Indianapolis. Justin is currently working alongside a Christian Psychologist in private practice and has a great interest in Neuro-psychology. Justin is the son of John and Suzi Bunn of Troy.

The Quest for Excellence award is presented to David Bryson, a 2001 graduate of Troy Christian High School and a 2005 graduate of Miami University with a 3.5 GPA. He currently works in Chicago as a public accountant at one of the four largest accounting firms in the United States. While at Miami, David served in many capacities, including leading an initiative to aid low income families with their taxes. Under his direction, the initiative served approximately 70 families getting $100,000 in returns that they probably would not have received. David has continued in excellence by reaching out to the community by organizing a charity heart walk for his firm. He is currently studying to obtain his CPA Certification and is the son of Jim and Paula Bryson of Casstown.
