AIA Design competition 2009 ~ The Artists in Architecture Student Design Competition was held on April 8 at the Kettering Government Center. American Institute of Architects Dayton has been sponsoring this program for over 25 years.  This year’s project was to design an Animal Adoption Center. There were many elements that had to be implemented into the design but creative freedom was also given in the project. Matthew A. and Paul C. participated in the competition and received great comments from the judges. Mrs.  Kim Stephan was their advisor for  this event. 

Cedarville Music Showcase ~ Congratulations to junior Justin S. and Freshman Max C. who represented Troy Christian at the Cedarville Music Showcase this past weekend. Justin and Max were selected from students who applied from all over the country. They met and worked with Music Department faculty and performed in a terrific concert on Saturday afternoon. Thank you for representing Christ and Troy Christian so well! We are proud of your accomplishments!

OMEA Music Competition ~ On Saturday, March 7, the High School Concert Choir performed in the OMEA District 11 Large Group Choir and Band Competition. They performed 3 songs for 3 OMEA judges and then had to sight read a piece of music for another judge. The choirs are rated on a scale of I (Superior), II(Excellent), III(Good), IV(Fair),V (Poor) for all performance songs and sight reading. We are pleased to announce that TCS Concert Choir has received a rating of I (Superior) and has qualified to perform at the State Competition on May 1 or 2.
