Graduation Requirements

  1. Earn a minimum of 24 credits in the following subject areas, in addition to a credit of Bible for each year of attendance at TCHS:
  • English: 8 semesters
  • Mathematics: 4 credits/years
  • Science: 3 credits/years (1 Physical Science, 1 Life Science, 1 Advanced Science)
  • Social Studies: 3 credits (American History, Current Social Issues, and American Government, and Economics required)
  • Online Physical Education: ½ credit (or PE Waiver for 2 seasons of Varsity Athletics)
  • Online Health: ½ credit
  • Technology: 1 credit
  • Fine Arts: 1 credit
  • Foreign Language: 2 credits
  • Elective Courses: 5 credits
  • Courses that include a lab may have graduation credits adjusted


2. Class of 2017 must pass all parts of The Ohio Graduation Test

    Class of 2018 and beyond shall meet one of the following:

  • Ohio’s State Tests: Students earn a cummulative passing score of 18 points, using seven end-of-course state tests (Algebra I, Geometry, Biology, American History, American Government, English I and English II.) Students also may substitute grades from College Credit Plus courses in these subjects for end-of-course state exams.
  • Industry Credential and Workforce Readiness: Students earn 12 points through a State Board of Education-approved, industry-recognized credential or group of credentials in a single career field and achieve a workforce readiness score on the WorkKeys assessment.
  • College Admission Test: Students earn “remediation-free” scores in English language arts and mathematics on a nationally recognized college admission exam. (ACT or SAT)
