Service & Missions
Matthew 5:13 captures the message that we desire the staff, students, and families of our school to live by - to be SALT in their world now. SALT means to Speak, Act, Look, and Think like Jesus. In order to be SALT in our world students need to demonstrate Christ-like character. It is important that our students realize that they can be the hands and feet of Jesus right now. They do not need to wait until they are grown to have an impact on their world.
We are one of the few Christian schools in the country that require and provide mission opportunities for all children in early childhood through 12th grade. Each class selects a group of people to serve throughout the school year. The sixth grade class works all year to earn funds for their end of the year mission trip to Charleston, WV. Jr. High and High School students are given many other opportunities to serve during ESM Week and with other mission projects throughout the year. We give our students many opportunities to serve locally, nationally, and internationally. These opportunities give our students tangible ways to put into practice the lessons they are learning at school, church and home.
