We congratulate Zach C. (9th), Grant E. (9th) and Eric P. (8th) for receiving a Superior rating at the District Science Fair and qualifying for the State Science Fair! State Science Day was hosted by The Ohio State University, Columbus, Ohio, on Saturday, May 9, 2009. State Science Day is the pinnacle of student originated, inquiry‐based science education for Ohio's students. The academic equivalent of a State athletic championship, this year's event is the largest of its kind in the nation. More than 1,000 students in grades 7‐12 from nearly 300 schools were evaluated this year on their scientific research and communication skills, and competed for more than 100 different scholarships and awards valued at more than $1,500,000.
