| Each week at Elementary Chapel students are honored as Student in the Son-Light. This award is to encourage our students to live out a biblical worldview today. Our TCS vision is that "Troy Christian students will be SALT in their world NOW," from Matthew 5:13. SALT is identified as to Speak, Act, Lead and Think like Jesus. The students are nominated by their teachers for any of the following areas: |
| * R2G (Respect, Responsibility, Gratitude, Geniuneness) |
| * Fruits of the spirit (Galatians 5:22): love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control |
| * SALT (Speaking, Acting, Leading & Thinking like Jesus |
| * Demonstrating positive character qualities |
| * Developing their God-given talents with excellence |
