All classes are biblically integrated and a daily Bible or Christian living class is part of each student’s day. Elementary Bible curriculum is based on Christian character development and scripture memorization. In jr. high and high school, Bible is a yearlong class that applies the principles of God’s word in everyday life. Chapel is a special time for the entire school to come together. Each chapel is unique and offers each age group time to praise, worship, pray, and study scripture. Guest speakers, students, and faculty share about God’s work in their lives. Special chapels held throughout the year honor important people in our lives, such as veterans and grandparents.

We teach the importance of leadership skills at TC. Students are given opportunities in both traditional and nontraditional experiences to serve others. When given the chance to lead and serve, students gain confidence and passion. No matter what kind of an “influencer” your child will become, he or she will be able to explore servant leadership through our school-wide programs.

Elementary students -- participate in serving others all year long through their classroom service projects.

Sixth graders -- attend a week-long mission and enrichment trip together to serve in West Virginia; often this is their first time away from home for this long and they GROW!

Jr. high students -- serve together as a class at a camp, where they work and play.

High school students -- select a mission trip or experience through our Enrichment, Service, Mission (ESM) week each year. Students serve locally, nationally and globally.

All students -- serve our community at various times throughout the year. They lead at school in activities that fit their interests, such as athletics, music, student council, honors programs, and front desk help.

Athletics

Troy Christian is a member of the Ohio High School Athletic Association. When athletics are seen from the Christian perspective, winning has a broader definition and our athletes a greater purpose. We want our coaches and athletes to be used of God in the lives of those they meet. Troy Christian athletics always aim to be sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit as our Lord opens doors for active ministry. “Instead, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant. Just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve…” (Matthew 20:26, 28).

The goal of Troy Christian Schools is to involve as many students as possible in the athletic program, while at the same time maintaining high standards of excellence. Each building’s athletic program is under the direction of the Athletic Director.

Fine Arts

Troy Christian believes that the fine arts play a valuable role in our school and as a part of a student’s education. The fine arts give a student the opportunity to draw closer to God through personal expression of art, music, and drama. Our fine arts classes and extracurricular opportunities help create a well-rounded individual and allow a student to discover and develop their passions and God-given abilities.
