Drama/Theater Teacher (After-School Program)

Troy Christian High School is seeking a passionate and creative Drama/Theater Teacher to lead our after-school theater program. This flexible, part-time role offers an exciting opportunity to inspire students through the performing arts while cultivating confidence, teamwork, and a love for creative expression.

Responsibilities:
  • Direct and produce two high-quality productions per school year (1 fall drama and 1 spring musical).
  • Guide students in acting, stagecraft, and performance skills.
  • Collaborate with volunteers, staff, and parent support teams for set design, costumes, and technical aspects.
  • Create a welcoming, Christ-centered environment that fosters artistic and spiritual growth among students.
  • Communicate clearly with families about schedules, rehearsals, and performances.

Qualifications:
  • Experience in theater education, directing, or performance (school, community, or professional setting).
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • A heart for working with high school students and mentoring them in faith and character.
  • Ability to align program goals with the mission of Troy Christian Schools.

Choir Teacher

Troy Christian High School is seeking an enthusiastic Choir Teacher to lead our choral music program. This part-time afternoon position is ideal for someone with a passion for music and ministry who desires to develop students musically, spiritually, and personally through vocal performance and worship.

Responsibilities:
  • Teach choir classes that focus on vocal training, music theory, and performance.
  • Plan and lead choral performances for school events, concerts, and community outreach.
  • Foster a Christ-centered learning environment that encourages excellence and creativity.
  • Select music that reflects both educational value and spiritual growth.
  • Collaborate with other fine arts teachers and participate in school-wide programs as needed.

Qualifications:
  • Background in choral music education, vocal performance, or worship leading.
  • Experience working with youth in an educational or church setting.
  • Ability to inspire and challenge students of varying skill levels.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
